Phillip V? Early 1700s Spanish Silver 2 Reales Cob Mexico City

This is a very nice early 18th century cob from the Mexico City mint. This most likely was struck under the reign of Phillip V or Louis I. This cob is in worn condition but retains beautiful eye appeal with a nice cross and a nice visible “2” denomination of the reverse.

Why Invest in Historical Artifacts?

Owning historical items is more than just collecting — it’s preserving our shared story. Each artifact, whether it’s an old document, a military relic, or a treasured family heirloom, carries the voices, lessons, and experiences of the past. By investing in historical items, you’re not only gaining a unique piece to display but also ensuring that its legacy continues. These pieces remind us where we’ve come from, help us understand the journey that shaped our world, and inspire future generations to value the lessons of history. When you buy and preserve historical items, you become a steward of time — protecting the past so it can educate, enrich, and empower the future.
